STEM Club is a club for boys and girls in the 4th through 6th grades. We have two groups, 4th-6th grade girls and 5th and 6th grade boys and girls combined. Each group meets twice a month on Tuesdays from 3:30 until 5.
We are using the Engineering is Elementary curriculum to support learning. Students are involved in a variety of hands-on learning activities that require them to utilize the Engineering Design Process. We are currently studying how to engineer earthquake resistant buildings.
Through STEM Club we are hoping to foster an interest in each of the curriculum areas it encompasses. We also aim to build a strong cooperative-learning environment. We look forward to working with these students this year!
