Over the month of March, our 6th graders participated in an exciting March Madness Basketball tournament! We had five teams of five battling it out all month long.
Today wrapped it all up with our final game—students vs. community adults! A huge thank you to our DARE Officer, his NSL Police teammates, and our favorite head custodian, Mr. Doug, for joining in the fun.
It was a competitive and high-energy matchup between Orchard Elementary’s own Goofy Goblins and the adults’ team, the Wild Hogs. In the end, the Goofy Goblins came out on top with a 16–10 win!
Great job, Goofy Goblins, and way to go to all of our players for an awesome tournament!

PTA Meeting Friday, March 20 at 9:15am in the Conference Room

America is turning 250 — and our students have something to say.

Davis School District is hosting Voices of a Nation: Student Perspectives on 250 Years of America, a districtwide speaking event aligned with America 250 Utah.

Students from every school and grade level are invited to apply to deliver an original speech about America’s past, present or future.

Selected students will receive mentorship and take the stage on May 4, 2026, at the Davis Instructional Services Center in Layton. The event will be professionally produced and live streamed for the community.

You don’t have to be famous to have something worth saying.

Take the mic. Share your idea. Be part of the story.

Applications due March 18.

What a wonderful success our Cereal Drive was, thanks to all our amazing Eagles! We hit our school-wide goal of 700 boxes and with our partnership with Lee's Marketplace, Associated Foods and General Mills, we were able to donate a grand total of 1,628 boxes to the Center for Hope Food Pantry. Congratulations to Mrs. Okleberry's class for collecting 151 boxes and earning Breakfast with the Principal!
